Promoting Positive Behaviour
At South View children have positive attitudes towards learning and are rewarded for following the 'B Golden Rules. These rules are child friendly and presented as 'bees' on display in every classroom:
1. Be kind and caring
2. Be polite and honest
3. Be careful and quiet around school
4. Be a good listener
5. Be a good friend
6. Be safe
7. Be a good learner
Children are encouraged to try their very best in all aspects of school life. When a child has worked hard they are given the opportunity to share their work with the Headteacher who gives them a special sticker.
Children in Years 1 and 2 also collect stamps on their card and are given certificates in assembly after every 3rd card is completed.
Every week a child from each class is nominated by their teacher for keeping the rules. The child attends a special tea with the Headteacher and receives a gold sticker to take home.
